About Me |
|
This year skinning has becoming more and more of an occupation as well as a hobby. After completing the Official Xbox skin for The Skins Factory, I also worked on two designs for Axisto Media for their streaming media technology product, and more recently for another large international corporation (whom unfortunately I can't name for contractual reasons) on their online Media Library application which uses something called 'DirectSkin'. This is a product from Stardock which allows developers to add skinning fuctionality to their application with the minimum of custom coding. If you're interested in what that would mean for your application, here's a quick example snapshot. It's ideal for corporate and product branding in a world of plain vanilla Windows apps.
Over the summer I was lucky to work with some of the skinning community's top authors in the GUI Olympics (Pixtudio Pirates team, captained by Renato C Veras - "Treetog"), where our team won the overall first prize, and one of my skins - Pixel8 - won second prize in the "Most Creative" category, and second prize overall in the WindowBlinds category.
If you have a requirements for either skins or website design, please feel free to contact me. Part of my 'day job' is web application development and I have recently been involved in web design for Axisto Media and The ACA charity (I've included some screenshots). And don't forget, any donation is appreciated and helps pay for this website and for the hours of time taken producing the skins you download.
I’m married to Tracey and have two children; Ben and Natasha. I am a computing professional, currently working on intranet application and call centre technology development for a major UK communications company. In addition to computing, I’ve been involved with Marton Operatic Society for the last few years as Musical Director. (You should have a browse round their website to get the latest details.) Marton Operatic Society performs one of the Gilbert and Sullivan operettas each year in the late autumn, along with concerts in Spring. I’m also Organist and Choirmaster at
St. Christopher’s church, Blackpool - which is really a fancy title for the guy who plays the hymns on Sunday.
You can e-mail me any feedback.
Thanks for visiting, and see you soon.
